okAndi.app · personal language tutor
Learn to speak, not to tap.
okAndi is a personal language tutor you talk to. It says a phrase, you answer out loud, and it tells you how a native speaker would have replied. Spanish first, the way it is spoken in Mexico.
Ask for a beta invitationHow a lesson goes
Every lesson is a short situation: ordering food, asking the way, a friend asking what you did at the weekend. okAndi speaks, you reply the way you would to a person, and then you hear and see the answer.
- You grade yourself. Got it, or not yet. Your grade is always the record, and it decides what comes back for review.
- Stuck? Ask how to say it. Type what you mean in English and hear it in Spanish.
- An optional second opinion. On devices that support it, okAndi can listen to your answer and score how well it fits the question. It never scores your accent.
What makes it different
- Speaking, from the first minute. Dialogues, not word tiles. Confidence comes from saying things.
- It runs on your device. Lessons, the voice, translation and listening all work there, so it is fast and it works offline.
- Mexican Spanish. Everyday phrases with the context to use them, read by a Mexican voice.
- No mascot, no animations. Nothing between you and the next phrase.
- Honest progress. A day streak, words known and phrases mastered.
- A1 to C2. Levels follow the CEFR scale your textbook uses. A1 and A2 are written today, along with school-subject and bonus lessons; B1 to C2 are on the way.
Your voice stays with you. When listening is switched on, your answer is transcribed on your own device and the audio is never uploaded. An optional “hear yourself” recording is off by default and stays on the device.
Who it is for
- Learners aged 14 and up. High-school students and adults, from first words to advanced.
- Teachers. Make a class, sign in with Google Classroom, assign lessons and see who practised, faster than taking attendance. The school launch is August 2027.
- Parents. A family works like a small class. You manage it in English and never have to judge anyone’s Spanish.
Where it will run
- iPhone and Android apps for practice at home.
- The web app for Chromebooks at school.
- Mac, including a version that runs in the terminal, which is where okAndi started.
